Wildlife in North Carolina Magazine 2010 Photo Contest

The January issue of Wildlife in North Carolina magazine is out. While the magazine is always wonderful the January issue is always especially nice because it contains the winning photos from the previous year’s photo contest. I entered the contest for the first time in 2010 and was surprised to take a Second Place in the Birds Catagory as well as a Honorable Mention in the Animal Behavior catagory. The Grand Prize winning photo, and First through Third for each catagory can be seen online at http://www.ncwildlife.org/WINC/photo…allery_10.html. Below is my Second Place and Honorable Mention images.

This photo of a Greater Yellowlegs, taken in March of 2010, earned a Second Place in the Wildlife in North Carolina 2010 photocontest.

My swimming banker horse image, taken in the Rachel Carson Estuarine Reserve near Beaufort, NC received a Honorable Mention in the NC Wildlife photo contest in the Animal Behavior catagory.

Congratulations! A well deserved win. I won’t be a bit surprised when one of your photos takes first place.
