The Black Skimmer is another shorebird I’m simply fascinated with. Like the Oyster Catcher they have a similar black and white coloring with bright orange bills. I find it especially interesting to watch them skim the surface of the water, looking for a tastey treat. Here’s a few photos from a few mornings ago.
