In North America there are two species of wild turkeys. In this color photograph a close up look at an Eastern Tom Turkey is featured. While I suppose some might try to pass this off as a wild capture, in full disclosure this bird is my step-daughters pet. He has been known to attract a few of his wild cousins however. I find the colors and textures of his head and neck lovely.
