Brock Millpond at Trenton NC

I recently paid a visit to the Brock Millpond in Trenton North Carolina with the hope of capturing some Autumn foliage around the pond. This historic location dates back before the Revolutionary war. Originally used to grind grain, the mill was later converted to generate electricity for the town of Trenton. In 1997 Tropical Storm Dennis caused the dam to rupture, resulting in the millpond draining. A few years later the dam was repaired and today the pond is back to its original glory. The site, now owned by Jones County, is a popular destination for fishermen, photographers and artists. Below are a few of my photos from my visit.
